As I am sitting in my studio writing this we are getting pelted with rain. Luckily our house sits on fairly high level ground so I don’t think there is a risk of us getting flooded. Or if we do the entire state of North Carolina is going to need to build an ark. Hurricane Florence also spared us. We are safe and dry! Unfortunately I cannot say the same for most of North Carolina.
I went from one disastrous state to another. Last week I was traveling in the Cashton, Wisconsin area visiting family and attending my 35th High School Class reunion. I was also celebrating my birthday and attend the big town of Cashton’s, population maybe not quite 1,000, 75th annual Fall Festival Parade.
That part of Wisconsin had just been hit by flooding a few days before I arrived. During my stay it had stopped raining but damage from the rain and flooding was evident.
I spent the weekend organizing my essential oils and making some essential oil products. I absolutely love these acrylic display stands I found on Amazon. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0725VD3NQ/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1
I am slowly beginning to replace all my cleaning and personal care products with non-toxic essential oil products that I am making myself. Today I made dish soap, shower gel and body soap. Eventually some of these products will be for sale on my website www.cksventures.com What products would you like to see? All the recipes I used were new to me. Once I use the products if I like them I will post the recipes.
As I sign off, rain continues to pour down. It doesn’t look like we are going to see the sunshine until Wednesday.
ta, ta ‘til later
