Cheryl is the designer behind two distinct jewelry lines: CKS jewelry, featuring metalwork and raw gemstones, and MAE jewelry, a playful, experimental collection crafted from recycled and unconventional materials like Formica, leather, and acrylic. Drawing inspiration from Art Deco, modern architecture, and the beauty of everyday life, Cheryl creates jewelry that’s geometric, edgy, and anything but expected.
Ken is the tech-minded maker who brings a different kind of magic. With a love of problem-solving and precision, he uses laser cutting, CNC machining, and 3D printing to create unique pieces—from intricate 3D puzzles to wooden name trains and home goods. He’s always exploring what’s possible, one project at a time.
Together, they are CKS Ventures—a fusion of creativity and technology, working side-by-side in their modern Hillsborough, NC studio (often supervised by their two curious cats, Georgio Armani and Luna). Their Hillsborough studio has become the home base for making, experimenting, and building a life and business grounded in imagination and innovation.
